Downtown Christmas Parade

Our annual Christmas Parade was on Sunday, November 27th. I'm not going to say much about it because it was the worst one I've been to in the 23 years I've been attending. It was slower than ever, and I was outside for 2 hours before it even started. At one point there was a truck that was part of the parade stopped in front of me for 10 minutes. It wasn't even a good part of the parade, it was just a search and rescue van. I didn't even stay for the full thing because I was too cold and annoyed for being there for so long. I'm gonna upload some pictures of the things I did like, and a video of my favourite float!

This is from the movie "Up!" It's one of my favourite movies! The old man is so cute. And the dog reminded me of my Mom's dog.

We were standing by a building, and all of a sudden a bunch of firemen came out from behind it! It was so weird. They said there was an alarm going off inside of the building so they were checking to see if anybody had broken in.

The Shriners is always my favourite part of the parade. I was upset I couldn't stay to see the whole thing, but I seen these guys so it was okay.

I have no idea what these guys were all about, but there were a bunch of Grinches & Things!

Again, no idea what was on the go here. I just know that the car was dressed up as a baby carriage.

This was awesome! I still don't know who owned the float though. I'm gonna have to look it up!

sequin mushroom ornament

We had a snowstorm the other day, and it got me in the mood for Christmas! I've been gutting out my house trying to get ready and make room for our tree and stuff. I made a bunch of these little decorations. I got the idea from this website. They tell you how to make them pretty well, I'm not gonna go into detail or anything because I'm not very good at that and they already have a tutorial. But here are mine! & I also added some pics of the things I used. I didn't use exactly what the tutorial said, mainly because I couldn't find them.

These are the styrofoam balls after I cut and painted them.

I bought a value pack of sequins for a couple of dollars. I would have liked to get just the colours I needed, but I couldn't. So I had to spend some time picking them out of all these colours.

I got this spanish moss at Walmart for a couple of dollars. I don't love it, but it works.

So cute! :)

No motivation!

I haven't wrote a blog post since September 25th, apparently. I have no motivation! Nothing really interesting happens in my life to write about. And since I have no readers at the moment then it just didn't seem worth it. But I'm trying.

I'm no longer receiving Luxe Boxes. I'm pretty disappointed about it, but they don't take my form of payment anymore, and I don't own a credit card. I'm hoping one day they'll expand on their payment forms again and I'll be able to get them! I loved them so much.

Now, the reason I decided to start posting on this again is because I just finished Charlaine Harris' "Dead in the Family". I have nobody to talk about it with! I'm not big on vampires, I never was. But my friend got me into watching True Blood and then I found out there were books. So I started reading the books because everybody knows the books are always better! Which they are. I like True Blood, but it's not my favorite show.
Up until now whenever I read one of the Sookie Stackhouse novels I couldn't put them down! They're so interesting and suspenseful, but this one really wasn't at all. I liked it, but it just wasn't as interesting as the first ones I read. By the time I was at the end I had no idea! I thought there was a few more chapters left. Turns out the pages left were just the beginning of her next book. Which seems more interesting than this one, haha.

Well I guess that's all I have to say about it. Just needed to rant! Maybe I'll do more of these. I just started reading "Dexter is Delicious" by Jeff Lindsay. I clearly have a problem with reading books that turned into television shows and movies! :)

September Luxe Box!!

My September Luxe Box came super late this month. Something to do with Canada Post being delayed or something. Not really sure. But it's finally here! Yay :)

They changed the inner packaging for this month! I like it. The card inside says "There's a change coming in October, can you guess what it'll be?" so that's sort of exciting! I think my subscription ran out though, so I'm going to need to order another one.

Meradesso, Face & Neck Toning Gel.
Full Size Retail Price: $120 (50 mL)

I haven't tried this yet so I don't really know what to say about it.

Pure & Simple, Collagen Elastic Plus.
Full Size Retail Price: $80 (50 mL)

I haven't put it on my face yet, but I tried it on my arm and it felt pretty nice!

Pur Minerals, Mineral Glow.
Full Size Retail Price: $24 (12 g)

Last months luxe box came with a pur minerals pressed mineral makeup, and I love that so I'm sure I'm gonna love this stuff!

Keratase, Masque and Fluide Chroma Riche
Retail Price for Masque: $55 (100 mL), Fluide $41 (125 mL)

Overall I did like this months luxe box, but I don't think I'd repurchase any of the products. Maybe the pur minerals stuff, but I don't know. It's all kind of expensive for stuff I don't really need at the moment! Ha ha.

Chapters Haul, I guess!

Just a couple of things I ordered from Chapters website :) I thought I'd share since I have nothing else to blog about!

I actually had no idea the new Dexter book was out in paperback yet, so I was pretty excited to find it when I was looking online. I'd rather them in paperback because it's much easier for me to read it and take it around.

I'm really excited to read this. It's about a woman who wakes up every morning and doesn't remember anything, her husband has to tell her that 2 decades ago she was in a terrible accident that took away her ability to form new memories. She starts to question her life and keeps a journal and she starts to discover some "unbelievable truth." It sounds really interesting!

I got this one because one of my favorite movies is Session 9. It was filmed in this abandoned mental institution, Danvers State Hospital. This book is about six teenagers who break in and spend the night and film a movie about their experiences. I think I remember reading that it was similar to the movie, and the movie is also mentioned in the book. I can't say anything about the book yet, because I haven't read it yet, but if anybody is reading this they should definitely check out the movie Session 9!

Windy Day!

Today it was so windy outside. I had a meeting for school at 11 am and after that me and Jon went to the beach because the waves were crazy. I got a few pictures, please excuse my fingers in some of them, I was trying to hold my ipod so the wind wouldn't take it away from me.

These were taken from the lookout area over Outer Cove Beach:

This one is my favorite :)

These are from Middle Cove Beach:

I've never been around the ocean on a really windy day so I was pretty amazed!
